Certificate of Marriage Services

As an authorised Civil Marriage Celebrant, I am here to make your special day not only memorable but also legally complete. Your wedding ceremony is a moment of love, commitment, and joy — and the Certificate of Marriage is the beautiful document that symbolises your union under Australian law. Your celebrant will also submit the official documentation to the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages  in your state or territory to register your marriage. Once processed, you can apply for the Official Certificate of Marriage (required for name change, visa, or legal purposes).

What Is the Certificate of Marriage?

The Certificate of Marriage is the official record issued on your wedding day, signed by:

  • You and your partner
  • Your two witnesses (aged 18 or over)
  • And your authorised celebrant

This commemorative certificate is presented to you immediately after the ceremony — a keepsake marking the start of your life together.

Your celebrant will also submit the official documentation to the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages  in your state or territory within Australia to register your marriage. Once processed, you can apply for the Official Certificate of Marriage (required for name change, visa, or legal purposes).

After the Ceremony

You’ll receive your Certificate of Marriage on the day — but for legal and administrative purposes (like passports, bank name change, or visas), you’ll need the Official Marriage Certificate issued by the Registry. I’ll guide you through that simple application process too.
